We were picked up on time for our return to the airport. We had already met Victor on a previous city middle of the world tour. He did remember us and asked us about the various places we had visited in Ecuador. He helped with luggage and took us to the check-in area of the airport. I would be happy to recommend Viator to future travellers visiting Quito.

The ballet is not a typical US ballet. It is performed in bare feet. The music was superb as well as the costumes. The seating is random, but all seats give you a good view. It is two hours long, but starting at 7:30pm, might be a bit too long for young children. I would definitely see it again.

I liked the tour a lot. The critical point in these tours, however, tend to be: does one carry you higher than the parking area (Parquerado, 4500 m)? But in my case the weather was already a reason not to continue. The most amazing thing was that this tour existed even that I was the only participant (with a driver and with a guide)!

Excellent guide! and excellent driver! The monument is well, mainly a photo op. but hey you have to go right? There are some odd but interesting displays by the monument including an insectarium and a small collection of pottery depicting the path of the sun. Don’t forget to try the local ice cream on the way out. It is worth it! I would recommend spending the 3 dollars for the museum at the actual GPS equator, get past the decor and just experience it. The experiments on the actual equator line is the real draw including balancing an egg on a nail, trying to walk the equator without loosing your balance (it’s harder than it sounds) and watching water go straight down a drain with no spin. The caldera near by offers spectacular views and is well worth stopping at. This offers the best scenery of the area and was my favourite stop.
