Take a tour from Luxor to Dendara either by road in an air conditioned vehicle or by boat along the Nile River to see the well preserved Temple of Hathor, Temple of Isis and Coptic Basilica. Your qualified Egyptologist guide will introduce you to the main features of the complex before allowing you additional free time to explore at leisure.
Inclusions:
The approach path to the Temple of Hathor is between two Roman fountains that end at the massive entry gate. Hathor was the goddess of pleasure and love and was generally shown as a cow, or woman with a cow’s head.
The enclosure walls are mud-brick and date to the Roman era. Within the walls are the temple, two birth houses, a Coptic Basilica, a sanatorium, a sacred lake and the Temple of the Birth of Isis.

Very well organized tour! We chose the boat option and it was great! We got picked up by the local agent at Luxor, taken down the road to the Iberotel where we boarded the boat. Took a 4 hour trip up to Dendara where a lovely guide met up with us and took us around the temple. What an amazing sight, you get to see the sunset too which is amazing! Highly recommended

Abydos in Middle Egypt is an ancient holy place and burial ground of the rulers of the late prehistoric proto-kingdom, as well as the first attested kings of the politically unified Egyptian state.
Buildings constituting the settlement area in northern Abydos dating back to Pre-dynastic times have been found around Kom es-Sultan, while recent excavators have found an Old Kingdom residential area to the south-east which contains a street of mud-brick houses with courtyards and a faience workshop with its kilns.
Abydos is home to “The Cult of Osiris”, the god of the dead. It is said the head of Osiris was buried at the site after he was murdered by his brother.

Take a half-day private tour with a qualified Egyptologist guide exploring the East Bank of Luxor. You’ll see two of the most impressive temples in Upper Egypt – Karnak and Luxor, while learning about ancient Egyptian history from your own personal guide.
Inclusions:
Start your day with a visit to the Temples of Karnak. Walk along the Avenue of Sphinx to enter the complex as your guide explains how the massive facade was constructed. On entering the Temples of Karnak you will see each legacy left by the various pharaohs as the complex grew even larger. The deeper you go into the complex, the further back in time you will travel, with the oldest ruins dating back over 3,000 years.
Walking through the Great Court into the Great Hypostyle Hall, it’s hard not to be overwhelmed by the 134 columns towering above you like an ancient forest. At the rear of the complex you will find the sacred lake where centuries ago pharaohs and their offerings to the gods were purified. After a tour of the complex, you will have additional free time to explore at leisure.
Continue to Luxor Temple which was once joined to the Temples of Karnak by a two-kilometer long Avenue of Sphinx, a portion of which marks the entrance to the temple. Dominated by statues of the great warrior pharaoh Ramses II, Luxor Temple has survived Nile floods, foreign invasion and thousands of years exposed to the elements.
A pure Egyptian temple, the inner walls and columns are decorated with intricate hieroglyphics which your guide will help you decipher. Find out how Alexander the Great wrote himself into Luxor Temple’s history, and see one of the original pair of obelisk, the second of which now stands on the Place de la Concorde in Paris.
This is a private tour allowing you to determine the amount of time spent at each of the temples during the tour.
Departure Point: Centrally located Luxor hotels or Luxor Port
Departure Time: 1:00pm (earlier departures are available if required, please advise at time of booking)
Hotel pickups commence prior to this time, you must contact the local service provider to verify your exact pickup time.

The flight was great but after being picked up at 5am, we waited on the boat to cross the Nile for almost a hour while numerous other boats left and we could seen balloons taking off. So we missed the sunrise. The flight itself was great.

This tour was more interesting than we had expected. This was the first time on our trip that we found ourselves out of the tourist element. Our tour guide was very flexible with the itinerary and enabled us to see areas of Hurghada that we wouldn’t have known about. He was very desirous of our having the type of experience that we were looking for, and he was able to answer our many questions. The restaurant meal was very relaxing and the food was the best meal we had during our entire vacation. It was a very good experience, and we would recommend it to anyone.
