While your cruise ship is in port in Copenhagen, take the Copenhagen Grand Tour to see the major sights of the Danish capital by motor coach. You’ll also drive through the colourful canal district, where your local guide will point out major sites including the National Museum and Christiansborg Palace, home to the Danish Parliament.

The Copenhagen Grand Tour is a wonderful way to see the best of the city while you’re in port. During this shore excursion, your guide will lead you to the old Stock Exchange and across Kongens Nytorv (King’s New Square), where you will see the Royal Danish Theatre, world-famous as the venue of the Royal Danish Ballet.

You will then drive through the vibrant harbour district of Nyhavn and see Amalienborg Palace, winter residence of the Danish royal family. Here you will have the opportunity to see the Changing of the Guard.

You will continue visiting top Copenhagen sights like the Gefion Fountain and the Little Mermaid statue, inspired by native son Hans Christian Andersen’s fairytale. Last but not least, pay a visit to one of the many magnificent churches in Copenhagen and pass Rosenborg Castle, where the crown jewels are protected by the Danish Royal Guard.
