How To Make the Most of Your Universal Studios…

How-To-Make-the-Most-of-Your-Universal-Studios-TourWhen visiting Universal Studios, you need to be prepared. Arriving at the park unprepared can literally ruin your holiday! Here are some tips to help you get the most out of your Universal Studios Tour adventure.

It will be very hot. Make sure that you dress in cool summer cotton clothing. You should strongly consider taking a change of cloths, so you can change into dry clothes after the rides that soak you, or if your clothes get too sweaty. If there during the evening hours, take something warmer to change into. Do not wear new shoes! There is a lot of walking involved, and you won’t last one hour in brand new shoes. Wear an old pair that is well broken in. Take along an extra pair of shoes to change into if yours get wet.

Make sure you pack some earplugs. There is a lot of noise at Universal Studios, and some of the attractions are deafening. Also do not forget sunscreen, sunglasses, and hats to help protect you from the sun. Use a backpack or a fanny pack to carry your belongings in – there are also lockers available through guest services if you need a safe dry place to store your things.

Make sure that you take the Universal Studio Tour early in the day. The park will remain open several hours after the tour has closed for the day. Designate a meeting place with everyone in your party, in case you get separated. Make sure that everyone in your party has a map, and that they know how to read it!

Leave small babies and toddlers with a sitter. They will not enjoy Universal Studios, and they will make sure that you don’t enjoy it either if you bring them. Consider purchasing VIP passes which will allow you to move to the front of the lines for the attractions. This is a huge time saver, and will keep you from wasting valuable time and getting bored standing around.

You might want to avoid eating inside the park if you can. It is very expensive, and the food is much cheaper right outside the gates in City Walk. Also save your shopping for the end of the day, so you don’t have to carry packages around with you. Universal Studios Tours does have a package delivery service, which will allow you to pick up your purchases at the end of the day near the exit, in case you find a souvenir that simply won’t wait until closing time.

Most importantly, see and do as much as possible, and have fun! Universal Studios has been entertaining us for years, and entertainment is what Universal Studios Tours is all about, so enjoy!

How To Get the Most Out Of Your Universal Studios Tour Experience

How To Get the Most Out Of Your Universal…

How-To-Get-the-Most-Out-Of-Your-Universal-Studios-Tour-ExperienceUniversal Studios is a huge place, with lots to see and do. If you want to experience as much as possible in one day, it is important to plan your day. By planning your day, you will be able to get more done than you would if you went in without a viable plan.

Start the day with the Universal Studios Tour. It takes one hour, and you need to be there before the gates open. It is important to be on that very first tour, so you can avoid some of the long lines at the theme park.

Universal Studios is divided into two lots – the upper lot and the lower lot. When you are ready for the theme park attractions, start on one lot or the other, and visit all of the attractions on that lot before moving to the next one. This will cut down on a lot of unnecessary walking. The upper lot usually opens before the lower lot, so start at the top if possible.

After a day at the theme park, be sure to visit Universal City Walk located right outside the gates of the park. The City Walk is three blocks of shops, restaurants, bars, and entertainment. This is a great way to end a perfect day at Universal Studios Tours.

Be Part of Fear Factor Live with Universal Studios Tours

Be Part of Fear Factor Live with Universal Studios…

universal-studios-orlando-1-day-ticket-in-orlandoHave you ever dreamed of being on a reality show? Here is your chance! Universal Studios Tours now has Fear Factor Live, which is a stunt show that uses audience volunteers. With three to five shows each day, the chances of getting on the show are pretty good!

Are you ready to face your fears? There are some important things to know about Fear Factor Live at Universal Studios Tours before you sign up. First, this is for real. This is not a cheesy attempt to replicate Fear Factor and please a studio audience. The stunts are very real, and they are performed by audience members just like you. There is no faking here!

If you still want to participate, simply visit the casting office, which is located near the Terminator ride in the theme park. You must meet certain physical requirements to ensure that you are physically up to the challenge. You must also complete and sign a liability form, holding Universal Studios and Fear Factor harmless of any injuries or damages you may incur.

Before the show begins, some audience members who were not selected to participate are called on stage to face smaller challenges, such as eating various bugs. The winner of the pre-show contest wins great prizes, such as an annual pass to the theme park. This is followed by an audience warm up with the hosts of the show.

The show consists of six contestants that were chosen from the casting office – if you are lucky, you could be one of these! You are dressed just as the contestants on the original Fear Factor dress – in tight uniforms. A series of challenges, much like the challenges on Fear Factor are presented to the contestants – Falls from high places, skill tests, and of course the famous gross-out challenge. During the show, a random audience member is picked for yet another challenge – such as sticking their head in a tank full of scorpions.

If you’ve ever watched Fear Factor, and told all of your friends that you could handle everything that was thrown at those contestants, be careful. Here is your big chance to prove yourself – or your friends’ chance to prove you wrong! Win or lose, Fear Factor Live at Universal Studios Tours could be the highlight of your visit! If you want to be on the show, visit the casting office as soon as you get to the park to make sure that you meet the physical requirements – and if you don’t meet the requirements, ask about being in the audience.

Inclusions:

* Wild dolphin tour and snorkelling on the ECHO

You won’t just watch the show, you’ll be part of it as audience participation is as much a part of the night as the improv comedy performances. The hilarious show will keep you on the edge of your seat and tickle your funny bone every 8 seconds!

Lazer Tag: Located in the basement of Wonder Works, there’s lazer-tag action and video arcade fun, combining innovative technology and fast-paced excitement to provide players with a one-of-a-kind experience.

Wonder Works Exhibits:

Earthquake Simulators – One of history’s most renowned earthquakes, the 1989 San Francisco earthquake that stopped baseball’s World Series and collapsed a freeway is recreated in the laboratory. Guests will feel for themselves what an earthquake that measures 5.3 on the Richter Scale actually feels like.

Hurricane Hole – Guests will feel the effects of winds reaching 65 miles per hour. According to the Saffar-Simpson Scale, the hurricane in this simulation is merely a mild one!

Anti- Gravity Chamber – Water is travelling from the floor to the ceiling, or is it? At the touch of a special button that you control, water will appear to change direction! Look up! The change in frequency of the strobe lights is what causes the water to appear as if its directional flow has changed.

Famous Disasters – Twenty-five feet of computers and monitors present dramatic footage of some of the world’s most famous natural disasters. These disasters are explained in basic scientific terms and guests have the opportunity to quiz themselves about what they’ve learned!

Virtual Hoops – Utilizing the magic of blue screen cinema technology, a computer places the guest’s image on a basketball court where he/she faces a challenge from a much taller defender. Others can watch on the “big screen” as guest’s attempt to score as many hoops as he/she can.

Bubble Lab – Kids of all ages (1 to 101) love bubbles. This gallery is JUST FOR THE FUN OF IT! Visitors will be able to make giant bubbles, large enough to encapsulate a person.

Velocity Tunnel – Guests will see for themselves just how fast they can hurl a ball in the Velocity Tunnel. The best part is you choose a major league baseball player to pitch to. How fast was the speed of your pitch? This exhibit introduces the relationships among gravity, speed, and distance.

Bed of Nails – Visitors will feel the sensation of 3,500 sharp nails while they are being elevated on this bed . In order for your skin to be punctured by a nail, 2 kilograms of pressure is necessary. A person weighing 70kg (154lbs) will be supported by approximately 1500 nails. This will result in an average pressure of 0.04kg per nail, which is less then the pressure required to do damage to the skin.

WonderWall – The WonderWall will allow you to create a 3-dimensional impression of your entire body by pressing into this wall made of 40,000 plastic pins.

Reaction Time Testers – Participants compete against a friend for the fastest reaction time using two tall columns and a randomized buzzer and timer.

Big Piano – Adults and children a like will create music with their feet. Jumping from key to key on this huge floor piano!

Shadow Wall – Guests can leave their shadows behind in this unusual experiment. Through phosphorescence, this exhibit retains guests’ images on a special wall for several minutes. Guests will stand directly in front of the wall and block bright light from reaching it. While the rest of the wall quickly absorbs the light, the area blocked by the guest remains dark, even after he/she walks away.

Risk Zone – Do you consider yourself a high-risk taker? Do you believe in luck? Interact with the risk exhibits and learn about chance, probability and odds.

Shuttle Landers – Visitors will use their hand and eye coordination to manoeuvre the controls of the NASA spacecraft to make a landing on the airstrip.

Fighter Jets – Guests will discover the freedom of flight while taking a seat behind the F14 and F18 Fighter Jets to pilot their way across the blue skies or onto the carrier.

Race Machine – Everyone is surrounded by diversity. What if we could change your ethnicity? In this exhibit guests will be able to morph their face into a different race.

Computer Aging – For those who have wondered what they would look like in 25 years, this exhibit will give guests a glimpse of the future. The computer will take a photograph of their faces and change their appearances according to the age they select.

Wonder Coaster – Explore the latest in virtual reality as you design the roller coaster you’ve always wanted to ride but couldn’t find at any fair or amusement parks, then ride it! The WonderCoaster has the ability to turn 360° in every direction.
