Travel to Cairo from Hurghada on a private tour to make the most of your time in this world-famous city. Following your arrival in Cairo, your Egyptologist private guide will introduce you to the history of the pyramids. You will have time to enter one of the pyramids (additional cost), but your guide is not permitted to escort you. A short drive across the plateau finds you standing at the feet of the enigmatic Sphinx. Also in Giza you may visit the Solar Boat Museum (optional), home to the remarkably well preserved funerary boat of Khufu.

Cairo’s famous Egyptian Museum houses 165,000 Egyptian artefacts, but the priceless treasures of King Tutankhamen are the highlight. His six gilded coffins dominate the main hall, while his magnificent death mask is the star attraction.

Continuing to Khan el Khalili bazaar, you’ll enjoy free time to stroll through the maze of streets and bargain for a souvenir of your trip. You will also have the chance to visit a Papyrus Institute to see how the famous artwork is made before driving back to Hurghada.

An absolutely amazing tour, the stops on the tour alone are worth the price! We travelled as a group of 5 and were personally cared for by our tour guide, driver and assistant, all of whom were faultless throughout, very helpful and friendly. The sites are incredible, unmissable if you plan on going to Egypt, and I would always book my excursions with Viator in future, simply fantastic!
